N-Stalker Updates: what is this and how frequent it occurs

By N-Stalker Team on June 10, 2011

This is a short article to better understand the new kind of updates that has been created for N-Stalker 2012 Edition. Our latest scanner technology has basically three distinct type of modules:

  • Dynamic attacks: which is solely based on pages discovered within the target website
  • Static attacks: which is based on signatures we add daily and can fingerprint your application to discover vulnerable packages or 3rd-party components.
  • Software components: this kind of update occurs as soon as new features are released or bugs fixed.

We are now releasing the static attacks updates on daily/weekly basis according to its criticity. Dynamic attacks are updated frequently as well (such as new techniques to assess XSS or CSFR) — more likely to occur on a weekly/monthly basis. The same goes for software components (except for critical bugfixes).

Stay tuned — there are more articles to come!
