N-Stalker Promotes Technological Innovation

By N-Stalker Team on June 1, 2005

N-Stalker has been awarded with the Certificate of Participation of FINEP´s Award Prize for Technological Innovation, promoted by FINEP (Brazilian Study and Project Financing Entity) and by the Brazilian Innovation Agency (a public entity linked to the Ministry of Science and Technology) which has, as core objective, the promotion of Brazil´s technological development and fostering of innovation thinking within the country, in full compliance with the goals and priorities established by the Brazilian Federal Government.

The contest screened 509 technological development projects, coming from all country’s regions and, as far as Brazil’s Southeast region is concerned, N-Stealth was one of the 149 projects appraised by the judging committee, presided over by Marco Antonio Raupp, General Director of the Laboratório Nacional de Computação Científica – LNCC (National Laboratory of Computing Sciences).

Competing in the “Product” category, N-Stalker submitted its N-Stealth – Web Security Scanner, demonstrating company’s innovation efforts in the design of vulnerability assessment software tools (whose main duty is to scan web servers to identify security problems and fragilities that may allow invaders to gain undue access to systems), making use – among other features – of a large database with more than 30 thousand vulnerabilities and exploits, continuously updated.

With such participation, N-Stalker is now integrating part of the highly select “Catalogue of Participants” of the FINEP´S Prize for Technological Innovation, 2004 Edition.
