N-Stealth 5.8 is available to the customers

By N-Stalker Team on July 21, 2004

The N-Stalker team is very proud to release its last N-Stealth version, that comes with a new and modern graphical interface — which gives more flexibility when surfing — aggregating a new method of Fast Track for scanning and a new HTTP controller.

With the constant development of the N-Stealth technician laboratory, the 5.8 version is even more completed and stronger, with unique features that has made N-Stalker a leader product on its category.

Here is a brief description of the new features:

  • New Graphical User Interface

A new graphical interface has been introduced, including a complete new visual model and changes in the way users interact with N-Stealth. The new design was focused on a easy-to-use and graphic-oriented interface.

  • New HTTP Controller

N-Stealth has a new HTTP controller fully compliant to the protocol version 1.1. The support for persistant connections for both HTTP and HTTP/S is now native. This means you will accelerate the scanning session on most of the well-known web servers available in the market.

  • Faster SSL scanner

A new SSL implementation is available in N-Stealth. Combined with the new HTTP controller (protocol v1.1), it can increase the current SSL scanning speed significantly. For example, a scanning session that took almost two hours in the previous version was completed in less than 40 minutes in the current N-Stealth version (5.8).

  • New FastTrack Assessment Method

Besides changing the HTTP controller, N-Stalker has introduced a new assessment method that will boost your scanning experience. By combining different HTTP methods (HEAD/GET) along with a false-positive detection method, the new FastTrack Assessment method will significantly reduce the amount of HTTP traffic between N-Stealth and the target web server.

  • Changes in the Range & File list Scan

A new tracking window will allow Customers to see the status of the previously scanned hosts during a IP Range or File list scanning method.

  • Changes in the Report look’n’feel

The final report was completely changed to reflect the new N-Stealth’s look’n’feel.

  • XML report fixes

Fixed the HTML conversion problem in the XML report (thanks to Mr.Labrador).
